La na gClub

Mooncoin Camogie Club were proud to join with the Mooncoin Senior and Juvenile Clubs to celebrate the GAA’s 125^th anniversary. This event, which took place on May 10^th, involved a parade through the village to 11 o’ clock Mass, followed by a series of mini-games in the complex, with refreshments afterwards. The day was a huge success and a great promotion of our national games. Well done to all involved.

Brief Club History

A Camogie Club was first founded in Mooncoin in 1932. During the following decades, camogie and clubs in the parish had many ups and downs. A permanent club was finally established in 1977 and it is this very club that survives today after 32 years.

Some of the  most notable achievements in Camogie include:

Senior Championship title 1959

Junior Championship titles 1968, 1979, 1988

Junior B Championship title 1991

The Club has prospered due to the hard work of many members down through the years, and this dedication and commitment still exists today. We hope it will bring us further success in the years to come.
